Education

  • What does the school expect from parents?

Parents are expected to be directly concerned and involved with their child's education.  This is more than merely helping with homework; it involves consistent encouragement, loving discipline, and correction.  Children need to understand that their parents have high expectations, which should be lovingly communicated to a child as you drive them to give their very best in whatever they do (Deuteronomy 6:4-9; Psalm 78:1-8; 1 Corinthians 10:31).

 

  • What curriculum is used?

Our curricular program is somewhat diverse.  Our conviction is that a single publisher will not have the best curriculum for all subjects.  Therefore, we have carefully reviewed and selected resources from various publishers to utilize in our classrooms.  Moreover, believing that it is the responsibility of administration, teacher, and parent to reinforce the work of Christ in all subjects, we do not restrict our curriculum to Christian-only publishers.  The links below will describe our grade-level curriculum in more detail:

  • What is the average teacher-student ratio?

Our largest teacher-student ration is currently 1 to 12 while our smallest is 1 to 4.  Our max ratio is 1 to 16 for kindergarten and up.  We maintain a 1 to 10 ratio in preschool.

 

  • Are you accredited?

No, we are not currently accredited.  

 

  • What level of education do your teachers possess?

Our teachers are professionally trained.  Of the seven faculty members, three hold their Master's in Education.

 

Financial

  • What is the annual tuition for the 2015-16 academic year?

  • Is there a discount if tuition is paid in one lump sum?

With the 2013-2014 academic year we began offering a discount for lump sum payments.  More detailed information about this and other discounts can be found here.

 

  • Is there a disount for families with multiple children enrolled concurrently?

Yes, we do offer a multi-student discount.  More information can be found here.

 

  • What does the Enrollment Fee cover?

The Enrollment Fee includes teaching supplies/resources, student textbooks, insurance, student record maintenance, and achievement testing.  It also assists school administration in processing and reviewing the many applications received each year.

 

  • Do you offer financial assistance?

At this time the only financial assistance we offer is extremely competive tuition rates.  We are working to raise funds and establish a financial aid program.

 

Miscellaneous

  • Are students required to wear uniforms?

Yes, beginning with kindergarten students are required to wear uniforms.  However, we do strive to keep our uniform policy simple and affordable.  More information can be found here.

 

  • Do you offer before and after school services?

Yes, we do offer before and after school services.  Our before school program begins at 7:30 AM.  Students are permitted to enter their regular classrooms beginning at 8:00 AM.  Our after school program begins at 2:45 PM and ends at 5:30 PM.

 

  • What lunch options are available?

Students are expected to bring a nutritious lunch each day.  Unless otherwise announced, we offer meals from a variety of local vendors.  For example, this year we offer Papa John's on select Mondays.  These reasonably priced meals are optional.

 

  • What are your daily hours?

All grades begin promptly at 8:15 AM.  Preschool classess dismiss at 12:00 PM while our elementary classes dismiss at 2:30 PM.

 

  • Do you follow the Cherokee County School District calendar?

Yes, we do currently follow the Cherokee County School District calendar.  The only current exceptions to this policy are CCSD furlough days, which we do not honor, and the last day of school.  Our last day of school for the 2014-2015 academic year is Friday, May 29, 2015.

 

  • What are the days and hours for preschool students?

Preschool 3 meets Tuesday through Thursday, 8:15 AM - 12:00 PM.

Preschool 4 meets Monday through Thursday, 8:15 AM - 12:00 PM.
