Beliefs

Community Christian School is a non-denominational school whose roots come from the rich heritage of the Protestant Reformation.  We hold to and teach a conservative theology founded upon the conviction that the Bible is God's revelation of himself to man and that it has authority to guide us in all matters of faith and life.

Therefore:

  • We believe the Bible to be the only inerrant, authoritative word of God;
  • We believe in one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit;
  • We believe that Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God and thus wholly divine;
  • We believe in his virgin birth, his sinless life, his miracles, his death on the cross to pay the penalty for our sins, his resurrection, his ascension to heaven, and his future return in power and glory to judge both his followers and non-believers;
  • We believe in justification by grace alone through faith alone, a declaration by God in response to our God-given faith which declares us innocent in his sight;
  • We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful men, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely necessary;
  • We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit who enables Christians to live godly lives;
  • We believe in the spiritual unity of all believers in our Lord Jesus Christ;
  • We beleive that Jesus Christ is the head of the church;
  • We believe in the faithful stewardship of God's creation;
  • We believe that our chief purpose in life is to glorify God and to enjoy him forever.
